Just a Poll out of Curiousness about FaceBook
This is just a fun, statistical hunting, fact finding poll......
Not that the stats will be accurate, but just curious.....

Good call Q,
I only had FB in mind as I'm not a G+ member.......
Mods/ Admins how do I change this ? or is it to late?.......
Q, maybe you would like to start a poll on G+ members..... would be interesting to see the comparisons.......
And yes, I do realise that the figures will not be accurate..........

Oh, Facebook will trump Google Plus.
I was being cheeky -- you could have a bazillion different polls.

Trevor,
Google Plus is growing at an enormous rate. 100 million active users at the moment.
I also think that Google Plus is aiming to a different userbase/audience to Facebook, too. So, I don't think it'll be as "big" as Facebook, but, certainly no slouch, either.

I prefer Google+ in many ways but none of my family and few of my friends are on there so rarely log in as a result. Never know what'll happen in the future..

Tick would be a yes.......
I understand that it is a yes or no Q, but in the context, it would be "tick" if you are "aware" and a skip the Q if not......and comment if you have ....well comments, such as " I was not aware of an IIS FB site, cheers for that..."
heheheheheh

It's so big I've never heard of it.
Shows I'm clearly a social media heathen.

I use G+ to follow people whose work or ideas I'm interested in. I don't use it to socialise with people that I know in the real world, that's what I use FB for. As a result I'm generally much more interested in checking out what's new on my G+ feed, like how +Scott Maxwell's latest Curiosity drive went, than seeing what someone I knew in school 20 years ago had for breakfast ;-)
And yeah the virtual star parties etc are awesome!

Amen! I'm a member of FB but it's hard not to be - eg for bushfire updates etc that may or may not be available when the time comes. Don't engage and not "on FB" by any stretch of the imagination.
And 'curiousness' is strangeness or oddness, I think 'curiosity' is the word you were after Bartman.
 On second thought, maybe not....
Cheers -

You are right about G+ growth Octane. My experience with Google+ is that it is mostly business oriented. Lots of contacts in business use it while FB seems to be for drinks after work, so to speak.
Don't know whether that's because Google has a large business community relationship + gmail, but it seems to be how I have found the user divide from my own experiences.
Certainly a lot of businesses and community groups have FB pages but that is inevitable given FB's priority.
Plus it may be safer to have Google open on the work computer rather than FB until the boss see's it being used an online chat.
