I had no idea it was finals time until I saw some highlights over here.

How the Tiges do this year?

.......................nevermind, I can probably guess.

It's all been arranged months ago Melbourne will win the NRL and Sydney will win the AFL. If you are suckers enough to think different then put your money on the other team.

I think that happened back in 2005 when Sydney won the AFL and Melbourne won the NRL

And here I was not gloating on IIS over the Swannies win. They only had to beat every team that finished above them on the ladder.

Anyone got photos of Hawks supporters crying in their beers?

Cheer, cheer the red and the white.
Honor the name by day and by night.

Haven't seen any discussion on 'real' footy yet, let's get things back on topic.

Wallabies lost to the Boks 31-8. Discuss.

Such a relative term "real footy"...
Having said that, I did enjoy watching the Swans' win despite not really being an AFL follower. All codes are great to watch when great teams collide.
The blue and white will definitely be up for today's big game. GO THE DOGS!!!!!
And there is anticipation of a great season 2012-13 as the great Del Piero graces the A - League stage. Cmon Mariners!!!!!
Leeds needs to string together a few wins under Warnock and get promoted back to the EPL. You are sorely missed in the top flight!
Ps Hopefully the All Blacks cease to dominate... union is getting too predictable...

Ok I think I have covered most things now!

I admit I don't know anything about the rules of soccer or rugby so I don't watch it. I'm sure they a both enjoyable to those who follow those codes.
So the Melbourne Storm play the Bulldogs today. Normally, I'd barrack for Melbourne but now they are sponsored by the Crown Casino I'll back the Bulldogs. Go DOGS.

Well it's all over for another year. Real footy hardly got a mention but the two money spinning codes of AFL and NRL fueled by the great interstate rivalry managed to get the country worked up for the one of the greatest sporting fixture weekends this year.

The results were inevitable as I stated a week ago but that made little difference to the spectacle. Cheers Swans and Storm (not my favoured teams)

Barry
