Iris nebula

Good evening

The skies have finally cleared over Arizona so this is the first image from the Arizona 20cm telescope for a while. There were some funny gradients going on but I think the colour isn't too bad. More data might have added some improvement too.

That is nice Steve!

I've seen a quite a few images of this object on other forums, and yours is the best so far.

Yep just looked at Martins Iris, wow!!!

But what you would expect from a world class astro photographer.

Yep - no contest which is best but I don't think this is too bad for a small scope.

Thanks Marc. Yes the dust adds to the appeal. I don't know of too many similar objects. Perhaps M78.
