Sept 10 active region close-up

Probably one of the intrinsically sharpest solar images I have taken in recent times....

Hi Peter,

A sharp and detailed view of these ARs, indeed a great image.

Excellent Peter. Looks like you can crunch out these full disks relatively easily with your new larger format camera How are you finding the processing of the raw data that comes from the new camera versus old?

Thanks Ted. Full disks are relatively easy, basically a 4 panel mosaic with similar res to my Skynyx images.

To step it up another (resolution) level I've discovered the camera pumps out too much data for my current PC, or software or both, to handle (even though I'm using a 64 bit OS, files larger than 2Gig often crash) ...so now I have to use ROI crops to get truly high resolution.

I think the dynamic range of the Skynyx was also better...in effect two steps forward, one back.
