Blue Moon 31/08/12

Hi everyone,

I haven't been online here for a while, so I thought I'd come back and say hi with a photo of last night's "blue moon".

I did just the usual "saturated full moon" thing, but it seemed to generate a fair bit of interest amongst my non-astro friends.

Thanks for looking!

Details: 10x frames taken with a Canon 5DmkII prime focus at 1/500 sec, ISO 400 attached to a GSO RC8 (200 mm, f/8). Terrible seeing, reasonably good transparency. Stacked and contrast/saturation boosted in Photoshop.

Nice Dave, you can really see how the seeing affected the image.

Looks nice though!
