A quick milkyway 18mm.

Hi,

Not much time before moonrise, so i decided to do a quick milky way wiidefield at 18mm.

This image is only a total of 6 minutes at ISO 1600, I'm really surprised at the detail for such short exposures, probably has to do with it being at zenith and nice dark skies.

I'm going to do it again piggy backed on the observatory scope, but at 18mm the dome opening is not wide enough. I need to make an extension bar to get the camera just outside dome.

Cheers,

Justin.
