My first attempt at DSO

47TUC 100s @ 400iso through a M250 @ f/12. The night started out visual but I decided to have a quick go at DSLR imaging see how hard it is. All I can say is I cant even see the top of the mountain from where Im standing. Night was wash out by the moon glow.

Hi,

Good way to start out, globs can be a lot of fun to image!

Cheers,

Justin.

Nice entry image.
When you're processing, try to keep an eye on the core of the glob, and if the stars start to burn out, back off. It's a balancing act with trying to draw out more of the outer stars and keeping the core still resolvable.
