Seeing did not let me down.

Clouds have, but this is the best i have seen it and got 4 avis to process

Here is a quick 60 seconds only stack. i am trying not to blur IO, so 60 second avis only

Registax run though only.

More to go and hopefully the clouds have gone away and I can get GRS etc

I was observing that, absolutely gobsmacked binoviewing with the 12" Dob. Seeing was very good here too at times, but it did not last long.

aligning and stacking after ppmcentre ing etc on IO for 1st vid, about to astra image.. damn computer, wheres a cray when you need one!!

Here is vid 1 sorta final result. a separate rgb still to be done.

left is astra image output, right is more unsharp mask and auto colour and curves for contrast.

I really like the right-hand shot in this one - the colours you're coming out with lately is like the look I have generally been trying to achieve.

Superb shots Dave, congratulations! I sat watching Jupiter for some time last night with my 8" Dob and it was as good as I have ever seen. It's amazing how quickly the moons change position. Usually I have a casual look and move on but due to the great seeing I observed for some time. Starting to think it would be terrific to have a motorised scope!

Dave,I ran your fine pic through Richardson-Lucy Adaptive correction in ImagesPlus. I could be way out of line here but it works for faint nebulousity in DSO's.
