Need to get my 5DMKII fixed, any recommendations?

Hi Guys.

My Camera has stopped talking to my computer and I need to get it fixed. I think I bumped the usb so I've probably broken the connector in the camera. The camera recognizes that a devise is plugged in but it cannot talk to it. When I install on to a new computer the driver install comes up but fails to install.

Any recommendations on who to take this to? Canon would be the obvious one but they wont be cheap.

Thanks

I had a similar issue with my 40D (it was indeed a bent point).
Canon fixed it and gave it a clean for $70 including post, so I wouldn't discount them.

As Peter said don't count them out, I'd try Canon first !

Also have you got another similar USB cable to try in case it's the cable?

I had my out of warranty 1000D Dslr sent back to canon, they fixed it, cleaned it and updated firmware and sent it back for free.

I think they are fantastic. Which is why I just bought another canon DSLR.
