Triffid and Eagle - dob

G'day,

First clear night for what seems like ages last night in Melbourne.
Managed to target a few options.

Here are my efforts on the Triffid and Eagle nebulas. I'm fairly happy with the Triffid. I think my Eagle needs some cropping and further work - as DSS spits them out in almost grayscale I end up doing a lot of guesswork in photoshop.

SW 12" goto dob f/5
Canon 600d eos
DSS
photoshop CS6

Triffid was 18 x 13 sec exposures @iso 6400
Eagle was 18 x 10 sec exposures @ iso 6400

Cheers,

Rusty

Nice photos Russell.

If you choose the last option in DSS which keeps the colour balance controlled, it helps keep the colours balanced when you import the file to Photoshop.

Ross.
