NGC 5128 2.5 hours.

Hi,
Here's my latest NGC 5128, I'm gradually taking more sub's a total of 2.5 hours 5 minute subs at ISO 800 for this final image. I want to do the same again but with longer exposures.
This image is the cleanest so far, and I'm happy with the colour balance. One thing that annoyed me is the stars are not quite right, it turns out that one of the mirror clips was to tight making the stars out of round.
I did a test shot for focus, but should have zoomed the image for closer inspection.
There are two versions here, one with more blue, a personal preference, and one with more yellow a more traditional view.
Cheers,
Justin.

Hi Justin,

Two great looking photos. You have captured the outer "glow" very well.

I also prefer the bluer version.

Ross.

I like the yellow one better, nice work. Can you post an original image? It would be nice to see if the gradients are just a result of the jpeg or if they are there in the original.

Thanks Peter!

Yes been having problems with gradients, but I've just found this site.
http://www.ccdastro.pwp.blueyonder.c...nt_removal.htm by Rob Pollard.
It deals PS 7 which I have, tried it and it works quite well and here is the latest version.
