Moon-Mars-Spica-Saturn conjunction (22nd Aug 2012)

On 22nd August 2012, there will be a conjunction between the crescent Moon, Mars, Spica, and Saturn (maximum separation of about 6.5 deg) in the western sky during the evening.

It would be the perfect opportunity to let some non-astro friends (who have a passing interest) take a peek through a small scope or pair of binoculars just after work, etc.

I'll be dragging my Dob into uni to have a pizza-and-planetgazing night with a few friends
