Sadly there are still those who think and will continue to think that the Moon landings were a hoax.

There was a chap in my uni study group a few years ago who honestly thought the moon landings were faked. I pointed out that the landing sites could be verified from earth (corner reflectors, etc.) - that was the first he'd heard of it. Strange that people will believe what they hear at the pub or read on a blog and never think to research it for themselves.

There is nothing strange about it.. it is a pack mentality, reflex reaction.. and we are all subjected to this, more or less. It was a crucial behaviour pattern in times when people were not quite homo sapiens yet.. and still is (how many of us are positively reacting to TV ads, for example?)

I also think it is a byproduct of this current computer age where any photo is so easily photoshopped, or any video can easily be faked.
