Barnard's Galaxy

A difficult object...I never imagined could be so complicated!!!

That's very detailed Leo!

It's certainly a tuff target, I tried Barnards galaxy a while ago, distinctly unimpressive with my setup..

Lovely version of this rarely imaged galaxy, you had plenty of exposure to deal with and it's very well handled too, about the best Barnards Galaxy image I have seen really...

Can't recall seeing a nicer image of it. What others said, really, but I like the detail of the HII regions and the individual stars(?)/star clusters in it.

Absolutely wonderful view of this overlooked galaxy, really well done Leo. And great idea with presenting the HII regions like that. Barnard's Galaxy really offers a lot to see and you've certainly set the bar high on this one.
Funnily enough I'm working on an image of this right now, also with about the same amount of data. Hopefully I'll get to finish processing it in the weekend
