Hi Pieter,

Lovely shots. Some cloud rolled in near dawn so I decided to do a small animation just for fun. The link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXx6GT0xHOk

nice images guys - it certainly was spectacular. I tried a wide angle shot, but it had none of the impact of the real thing.

Hi Ray,

Agree with you completely. The naked eye view was stunning.

Couldn't agree more, was visually spell-bounding. Starred at it for ages.

Hi, great to see that you have also viewed this spectacle. This morning I woke up to view the conjunction of the waning crescent Moon and Venus, Jupiter,Alderbaran and Pleiades well I wasn't disappointed the sight that befell me was amazing. I haven't seen the planets this bright ever. Maybe it was because my eyes were dark adapted having just woken up I'm not sure but I'm glad I got up when I did around 5am.
I took some images but as you say they don't do the event justice with my FUJI 10pixel camera but I just had to record it somehow.

I had read about it last week and forgot till I walked out to go to work at 6:45. Wow, what an image to see as I walked down the front steps.
I even went back inside and got my wife to come see.(she was up)
Even she was impressed.
