Alert: Nova in Sagittarius

Anyone seen this yet? We are totally under the weather in Coonabarabran for the last few days and into the week.

Mag 7.8 as of July 8th.
RA: 18H 20.5M
DEC: -27 44'

Even assuming that the weather was to improve enough to have a look it's a bit low for me which is a pity.
It would seem like this one is/was well within reach even for my setup.
