David Malin Awards: which image got you an award

This year I entered 14 images. 5 in DSO section, 5 in planetary narrow field. Two in solar system wide field and two in wide field imaging.

The two images that got up were

This image named Cycle 24

This image of Venus Transit.

I am amazed that two solar images attracted David's attention. I would have expected maybe one but not two.

So which images got you a gong?

Congratulations Paul and David (and daughter)!

I entered for the first time this year, and one out of the three I entered has won a prize. The image is star trails over Lake Wivenhoe.

Cheers,
Stephen

Hey well done guys. David do you have a link for the video?

Stephen that is a beauty of an image. Real symmetry there.

Got two as well.

Not the one's I expected....but I should not be surprised, as David's choices are inscruitable at best

Might have to wait for the awards night....

Yay I got two in as well! Rapped again. I entered 10 images and one that got up I was a bit iffy about but looks like David liked it, but I thought another of mine was better in the symmetry category. Will be interesting to see how many commendations there are too (those done receive emails).

Well done everyone and I look forward to seeing everyone there in a couple of weeks!

I'll be there too :-). I always get at least a partial surprise with which images get selected and which don't.. but (I feel) the details belong to the awards night. Looking forward to catching up with folks again.

What? I could have sworn you would be in there this year. Two images I can think of were crackers.

If Wayne is going I might hitch a ride with him this time. It is a long way to go in a weekend though.

I entered 6 images, several not published and got a nod for one.

Congrats to those who have gotten a win of some sort.

Greg.
