Lunar - Schiller, Plato and Vitello

Hello

As we’re clouded out once more, I’ve had the time to process some opportunistic Moon images I grabbed on the 10th April, whilst I was using the Moon to focus on before slewing to Jupiter.

There was a high frequency component to the seeing that washed over the field of view in sets of waves, so different parts of the image were in focus at different times. To help minimize the effects of this, I have only selected between 20 to 50 frames from each stack of 1800, so the images are a little thin and somewhat gritty.

Anyhow, for what its worth, here they are, images of: Schiller, Plato and Vitello (interesting inner formations)

Usual gear of C9.25 with x2.5 Powermate and ToUcam 840K.

Cheers

Dennis

Hi Tony

Don't blame me....you supplied me with the JMI SCT motorised focuser, so you should wear at least half the blame for the "new gear = bad weather curse"

Cheers

Dennis

PS - It is a sweet focuser to use, especially with the dual speed switch on the hand control paddle.
