A couple of southern galaxies.

Hi,
Here's a couple of southern galaxies, the SMC and NGC 6822.
NGC 6822 is an irregular galaxy in Sagittarius, mag 9.3. In the upper left corner is planetary nebula NGC 6818, mag 9.9.
Both images are one hour each at ISO 800.
Telescope 8" f/4 astrograph on a HEQ Pro 5 mount, orion mini guider.
Unmodded Canon 1100D at ISO 800.
12 x 300 sec subs ISO 800. 2 x 300 at ISO 800
18 dark frames, 11 flat frames and 11 bias.
Stacked in DSS and post process in Phototshop.

Man ,the guiders work dont they.Nice round stars. I'm working towards nice shots like these, but will have to get better gear,for sure.

I've been lucky with my setup, very few problems acheiving reasonable tracking and star images.
