My backyard piers, updated 1 100% done and 1 to be painted and placed :)

Heya guys thought i would share my backyard pier project with you guys. Due to having 2 palm trees which i love to much to loose for the sake of an observatory, I have decided to put in 2 piers. These are made from 90NB Light Black cut at 1m, gustests are mig welded for extra support and strength to the 300mm x 300mm x 12mm mild steel base plate. Lol due to where i work this cost me nothing but time and the cost of the 90NB pipe.
I used 20mm ramset's at 160mm to fix the first pier to the concrete, please note the cement i used for this flat area is a custom mix of high strength water tight concrete, its not your every day run of the mill gp mix.
I still have to build the second pier this week for the far back of the yard, I also have to drill some holes for the mounting of the meade starefinder EQ. I will also be giving it a nice 2pac epoxy coat today , but only after a beer and some prep work haha

Haha sure will brian and thanks. Will just be using the meade starfinder eq on them till tax time, though will set heads up for a heq5/eq6 after that. Using a ed100 and a 8" newt and will maybe run the 10" on the starfinder for planetary work. Just finished the second mount today, will get a pic up shortly of them side by side.
