Yes, it does need more data, something like my M20 54 mins of 3 min subs, (shameless plug intended)
This was from the backyard, so yes, the skies were quite polluted, but the CLS filter was in and custom white balanced so the colours and processing were easier to balance and more realistic on the subs coming from the camera instead of blue tinged, which was good.
The tracking and guiding was singing for what it is, I had to insert 60 second pauses into the capture schedule in Backyard EOS to cool the sensor and also allow me move as the concrete the scope sits on is like a shaking shack if you walk anywhere on it while an image is running and the bloody dog kept chucking its tennis ball around and ruining some subs. grrrr BAD DOG!
The Bathinov mask helps a lot with the focus too, soooo many times in the past I have wasted subs because I couldnt focus properly, now its a doddle! Money well spent!
Might be time to dust off the ol' pier plans again me thinks?
