found this on the excellent TEDed wed site its call "The Secret Life of Plankton" the close-up filming and the way the story is told is unreal.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the link to that 6 minute video, which, like pondering the skies at night,
gives one reason to pause in awe.

You would think that even if you could live for millions of years, you would never
master the technology to build such tiny little living machines. But millions of years
is precisely the timescale they took to naturally evolve.
