Ngc5746

Only seen observational reports of this galaxy on IIS.
Managed to get 12x5 min subs as a real quicky while waiting for M20 to come up and test my collimation.
I must go back and get more data on this to bring out the resolution and colours as it looks like a nice object.
GSO 10"RC and QHY10 used and PS3 for processing.

That is a really nice image Allan. I always admire those willing to go where few (if any) have gone before. There is so much "more stuff" to image, it is great we are starting seeing some being presented more often here by adventurous amateurs. I will have to post some of the Southern galaxies in my supernova search list - there are some real beauties that don't have NGC/IC numbers that need some justice doing to them. Many never imaged by amateurs. In reckon you could do a great job on them.

I would be really interested in such a list as its often difficult to see a field of view of some objects before trying to do a serious image of it. Peter, you and the Boss team have imaged so much that it would be great to see some of them.

Nice galaxy image! It's interesting that there seems to be quite a few of these 'NGC4565 lookalikes' around, with the boxy central bulge and all.

Rolf, that's what attracted me to it in the firsts place - just to see what it was like. At the moment I'm doing a deep exposure of it to see how that turns out with a bit better framing as determined from AstroPlanner.
