Imaged Jupiter again this morning at very low alt, my first 2 data sets were at 10 & 12 degrees respectively. Overall I have 5 data sets, all at 807nm IR. It seems my best data on both today & yesterday has been just prior to the Sun rising over the horizon with Jupiter at approx 15 degrees.
My final 3 data sets are of similar quality at alts of 15, 16 & 17 degrees so I have attached 1 of them along with an animation.
As with my data from June 16th the NEB seems chaotic, it is difficult to differentiate between the NEB & NTB. There also are several disturbances, festoons that seem to be impinging into the EZ from the NEB.
The window of opportunity to capture data is quite narrow at the moment from my site. Today I acquired Jupiter at 10 degrees alt, this is as low to the horizon as I can physically bring my scope to bear.
This morning initially Jupiter looked like a flag waving chronically in the wind but it did steady quite rapidly from about 15 degrees alt onward.
Thanks for looking.
Regards
Trevor
