I enjoyed the movie over all but felt it failed in a few parts, however, one thing it has done ...is create many discussions.

This explains some oddities, at least to me, about the movie. So, it makes some sort of sense out of a complex story line. But, this doesn't make any sense between the ending of this movie and the beginning of Alien
