The standard TeleGizmos material was originally developed for NASA as an insulator in space craft. It is very strong, light, tear and puncture resistant and is highly superior to Mylar in durability.
The aluminized surface is fully coated with a layer of clear poly to protect it and keep it from staining.
The benefits of the covers are numerous: Extremely durable...they'll last for years, water proof, washable, highly reflective, stopping condensation build up on scopes left outside at night, reducing scope temperature on scopes left outside in sunlight and they fold up compactly for easy storage. The covers have a shock cord draw string to secure them to your scope. Additionally, the covers come with a one year material and craftsmanship warranty.
NOTE: SCT and DOB covers have a cylinder style design with a round top for good fit for scopes parked in Alt-Az configuration. Choose a larger size for wedge mounted SCTs. Dobsonian Tube and Truss scopes vary in size. Make sure to measure the circumference of the base and the height of the scope. This will determine the correct size to accommodate your scope.
