Rain spotted Venus transit :)

Hi All,

Here is an effort from today of the Venus transit. I didnt realise at the time that the rain had spotted onto the solar filter, so the greyish spots are from that. Bummer. Not the best resolution from the DSLR through the 50mm solar filter, but its something. From 300 frames at ISO 100 at 1/15 sec exposure using Backyard EOS planetary mode. A fair few sun spots visible too (the black splodges) Venus is on the left

After a few hours of rain/sun/clouds/sun/rain/sun/clouds and so on, it was good to get something at least. Taken through the 50mm offset on the scope cover with Baader astro solar film and the 1000D.

Cheers

Chris
