Venus Transit - Macarthur: Public Event

Hello

Macarthur Astronomical Society has arranged a simple affair where interested members of the public will be shown the transit through our telescopes fitted with specialised sun filtration in real time.

We apologise for the late announcement, but we've only just managed to secure council permission to hold the event. We are not sure of the weather for the next couple of days, but even a quick break in the cloud is all you need...

We will be at the following venue at the times prescribed if you, or friends or relatives, are in the area:

Eagle Vale Leisure Centre
Corner Feldspar & Emerald Drive
Eagle Vale NSW 2560

Wed 6th June, 8.00am (transit begins 8.15am) until 2.30pm (transit ends)

Contact on the day is John Rombi, on 0425 249301

Warm regards

Chris Malikoff
President
Macarthur Astronomical Society
