Is there a way to clean a solar filter?

My solar filter just has a few small finger prints on them, is there a way to clean them??

I didn't dry my last filter properly and it rusted and ended up with pin holes all through it. (I only discovered this yesterday afternoon)
Lucky to have had a 4cm square piece of mylar left in the packet. phew

So if you do decide to clean it, i think I used isopropyl, make sure it's perfectly dry before storing.

Absolutely no effect on the image, just leave it, you will probably make it worse trying to clean it.

Agreed, no need to clean it, as it will not affect the image in a way that you will detect.

If you are OC, then take a cloth used to clean prescription glasses and exhale on the spot, cleaning it gently (i.e. no pressure, just the weight of the cloth). Don't use water, as the surface tension between the mylar and water will cause the water to run everywhere and you will get nowhere...
