Don't mention the cricket
I love overseas cricket tours, because I get to combine observing with following the cricket (ie. I grabbed score updates from South Africa during SPSP), but the current score between Bangladesh and Australia is ridiculous!

What's the score, Greg?
I must say that I have never really thought about listening to radio or even music while observing. I rather enjoy the silence after getting the kids to bed.

Rod,
Bangladesh scored 427 in their first innings.
Australia in reply are 6/134.
There are times I enjoy the silence. Times I enjoy the buzz of a star party. Times I enjoy quite commentary.

Australia 6/145 at stumps on day 2..... not looking good. I wish I had put a few dollars on Bangladesh before the match.
Stuart MacGill has done alright - 8/108, not bad for someone who can't get a game most of the time. It's also good to see Gillespie back in the team. It's not the same when there's no South Australians playing.

It's rather ironic how Australia received a cheque for $690,000 before play for being the top dog in world cricket. Now they're staring down the barrel of a humiliating defeat by Bangladesh, go figure.

What a fantastic start to a new day.
Well what can I say that hasn't been said. My cousins the Bangladeshies are making seriously stupid Ponting eat his words, regardless if they lose they have shown that the Tiger is not toothless.
PS You can't ban me for that?

I agree couldn't happen to a better cocky team! But at least the minnows will get some well deserved bragging and bagging in! But only serves to build character and develop the team further. too much cricket is played now! but I am not agreeing just cause your a pom either Dave!

Bangladesh are choking.
If Bangladesh lose this test no one will remember how much they fought...it will just be 1-0 in the series.
Come on Aussie come on come on......lol

Rod,
Indeed they did, though they really made Australia fight.
2nd Test starts on Sunday. Looking forward to it.
And to keep it astronomy-focused, I've just googled the astronomy clubs in Bangladesh. Alive and well there!
