Transit of Venus - anyone want to broadcast to SLOOH?

Hi all

Back in December last year, I was lucky enough to have clear skies and a setup that enabled me to broadcast my images to the SLOOH online observatory.

It was a great experience and a lot of fun, and it was excellent to be able to share the eclipse with people who couldn't see it.

SLOOH are looking for local broadcasters for the Transit of Venus.

Paul from SLOOH can help you with the technical setup required to get the images from your computer up to the SLOOH servers. It's really not that difficult to setup and anyone with a bit of computer knowledge can probably get it working on their own.

He's a call out from Paul:

------------
We've got an excellent event lined up and, once again, we're supported by Google's infrastructure. For the Annular Eclipse last weekend, we were one of the only online events that managed to cope with the load - NASA's servers were virtually unreachable all week! We're also in the process of moving transitofvenus.org over to our servers as the guy is concerned his will crumble under the strain!

If you know of anyone else who maybe imaging the ToV down there, please feel free to pass on my email address (paul@slooh.com).
----------

Good luck and I hope someone is able to help Paul out!
