Setting home page on new computer-how to?

I got my new Lenovo laptop up going yesterday,I will mainly use this for working with photo files and astro work,as it has a dedicated 2GB graphics card, and third gen i7.

All the setting up has gone well with camera working from computer, and astro programs put in.

The only thing, that seems an issue,is trying to make 'google chrome' my home page when on the internet.it always defults back to AVG,I got someone to help, but now joy with that,I got into control panel settings and cut and paste the link I wanted, but the live button choices did not really allow me to keep it in an active,I can get to chrome in a link in book marks,so no major issue-but I want to set up tabs like on my old computer-having to go into book marks all the time is not fun.

I would like this new computer to replace my old one, might clean the old one out and put lenox OP in it,for astro use in field and connecting to printers etc.

Hi chris,

In Chrome click on the 'spanner' for tools, then 'Settings', then 'On Startup',
then 'Open a specific page or pages', then 'Set pages'.

I find the add-on 'Neat Bookmarks' is pretty good for handling my bookmarks.

Cheers

Chris

Hi Chris,

You should be able to set your home page from inside your browser.

In the browser window under "Tools>options" and I think its on the general tab.

I havn't use chrome but thats how I do it in firefox and IE.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Chris,

In Settings, under 'Appearance' de-select the 'Show Home Button' then re-select it, you will then get the option to change the home page to what you want.

Cheers

Chris
