Correct voltage to drive EQ2 RA Drive

Hi folks,

You must forgive me as I've not posted for some time.

I have recently purchased ( and with general ignorance) a jump start with compressor (Auto XS Brand) through Aldi. It has two 12volt DC outputs, as well as a 5volt USB output. I was hoping to run my RA motor drive using this external power source but am worried I may damage the RA motor (or anything else) if I run it at 12volts. Considering that I am currently powering the RA drive with the battery pack (4 'D' cell batteries), is the transition to the Aldi product feasable/advisable. Your advice is greatly appreciated. (please refer attached image for a general guide to this product)

if its like the ones I've had they are usually 6V. Jaycar will likely have a Ciggie 6V adapter to plug straight from the battery to you mount. The two types I had was a straight 6V unit built into the ciggie adapter end and the other had a small box with a dial you could select a rang of voltages. Both worked fine

Thanks for replying Paul,

From waht I understand, you are saying that if i get a 6 v adapter from jcar and attach it to the 12v output on the Aldi thingy it will run the RA drive at correct power?? If that's right that sounds excellent as I'd like to run a laptop from the Aldi thingy as well and use the compressor to inflate my airbed under dark skies
