Cocoon Nebula

Here's another remote shot from Arizona. Probably one of the better ones of these that I've done. This is the Cocoon nebula, IC 5146 in Cygnus.

Cheers

Steve

fantastic shot - love the colours and the subject. probably some more time on this may have helped in the signal department - the noise in the dust is apparent - but its 1000% better than i have!!! (which is nothing) can you do a repro but not push it as much just to see the difference in noise?

Thanks David. I might try to get a few more RGB subs and then do a repro. I think 400 minutes of Ha should be more than enough.

Thanks Mike. As it turned out I did get some extra red and green. Haven't processed it yet.

Beautiful. I like the balance between the nebula, dark dust, and stars
