Sydney Week-end Clear Skies

Don't want to jinx anybody but the forecast for this week-end looks bloody good considering what the weather's been like all month nearly. Hoping to setup and get some Ha. All I got since last year was a lousy moon shot in sucker holes last week.

Hi Marc,

You live here in Sydney as well and know what it has been like, but with it
raining continually now for so long, I can't actually recollect specifically
the last day it was not raining. It was certainly more than a week ago
because I remember it rained Wednesday last week. It's like living
under a waterfall at Milford Sound.

So welcome news that it may clear on the weekend but I note that it will
still be unsettled for all of next week.

Yes Gary, rain starts again Monday afternoon but by then we should have had our fill of clear skies. In the West Sunday's forecast is 31c.

Get that HA filter out Marcus. Better than rain.

This morning the clouds are still here. Forecast on skippyskies, ozforecast & 7timer show clear. C'mon guys! Get it right! Hoping it's just fog. Anyway by the time I'm finishing cutting the lawn/jungle it'd better be gone or I'll be back.

Me too. Scope has been out cooling for a couple of hours. I don't care if Luna is out, I am going to fetch me some open clusters and double stars!

Just finished polar alignment and I'm shooting the rosette/cone nebula in one field with a 100mm lens in Ha. So far so good. No clouds and no wind. The seeing is pretty exceptional tonight too.

Not bad here is Brisbane. I'm fiddling with my 70-200mm lens shooting Ha. Not sure if it's all lined up square and proper though...

Was looking awesome in N'cle........BUT............I was ripping a section of the kitchen apart and had to ignore outside. Hopefully tomorrow night will be as clear as tonight.
