blah Sydney weather >:(

Hasn't been a good observing night for a week now! Last clear night was Valentine's Day, which of course meant it was dangerous to one's health to suggest to the wife that I go outside for some viewing

The forecast ain't looking great either, clouds and storms till at least wednesday/thursday. I hope they're wrong.

hello Ice,
Just had a peek outside, lo and behold, not a cloud in the sky, well, that's Melbourne for you and Carlton won the footy too, all really is right with the world, hope it's clear overhead for you tomorrow.
mick.

Apart from a stinkin' great moon out its "bludy bewdiful" here. Seeing a good 3.5 - 4 out of 5. A few clouds wandering through now and then. Boy doesn't the trailing air jump around after the clouds pass. I hope to have a few good saturn images to post tonight/ this morning. Its 12:30 and I've just come in. I'd love to stay up for Jupiter but seeing it is still about 3 hours away. Unfortunately work is the curse of the playing man. Gotta get that chainsaw out.

Amen to that Rob! Would've been most disappointing if SPSP was this weekend just gone.. there wasn't a clear hour of darkness all weekend.
Although not sure what the weather is like 4 hours west.. Could be clear on the other side of the mountains.

Look on the bright side. We got rain and not just **** clouds, besides there is heaps of time to read magazines and drool over the gear we would love.

Cheers

Sorry Mike I brought the weather with me to Sydney. On the way home from your place on Saturday I ran into that storm. Heaps of Lighting and Rain, but not hail. Glad of that or we would have had a bill for the hire car.

Talk about frustrating! The weather up here for the last few nights is wierd.

We have stars but the whole sky is completely covered in a thin layer of mist. It's like a very thin fog, it stays all night, and nothing will focus. Frustrating because you can see the sky but you can't see 'The Sky!'

I just had a look outside (2:30p.m.) and it's still there, and it's about 25 degrees!

I'd rather have no cloud or total cloud than this nonsense.
