Lyrid meteor shower

Just been outside for 45 min - saw 6 meteors but no Lyrids.
They are a more northerly shower, but I will try again tomorrow am 22/4, when they are supp to peak.

ps .... Comet K5 is quite low in the NE so hard to spot, also cloud in that area this am.

My alarm went at 2am ..... but I couldnt get out of bed, though tried. Head was stuck to the pillow, a pleasant dream lingering in my thoughts, legs wouldnt move. It prob was cloudy, I hope so anyway, goodbye Lyrids until next year.

Not a lot of action on the Lyrids last night, 21/22,Apr,2012, though it was quite clear for a change ? I seen two Lyrids @ aprox mag 0 from GC burbs around midnight, 20mins apart, so packed the tripod & cam, short trip to The Spit for the darker sky to the NE over the Ocean ! Camera doing auto's & the Phone App "Meteor Counter" in hand for NASA !

From about 1:30an to 4am'ish, Not many sparks at all : ( In this time, a Total of 4 Lyrids seen and identified coming for the Radiant, Three of these were around Mag -3 & one was near mag 0 again ? Also seen two nice mag 0 sporadics ! Thus ends another quite Lyrid experience ; )

10-4, over & out , , ,
