GIMP Help For A Newbie

I'm trying to combine RGB filtered mono images.

Having never used any photoshop style software, I'm lost.

I've managed to import the three images (red, green and blue filters) into GIMP as separate layers, and now I'm stuck trying to combine them into a single colour image.

The 'Help'/user manual is not helping me much. It's probably a simple process, but I'm just not seeing it

Any assistance greatly appreciated!
