Rosette nebula to Betelgeuse with 85mm lens

Hi all, I was looking for comet 97P Metcalf/Brewington and this FOV his it between the Rosette nebula and Betelgeuse. This is 12x2 minute exposures taken with 20Da at ISO 800 and 85mm lens at f2.

Thanks Chris. No didn't find the comet, Rob K. found out for me that the present magnitude is more like 21 instead of 15, which puts it way out of reach. All the best.

Nice wide photo Lester.

Very detailed. Your 85mm lens works well.

Ross.

Thanks Ross and Fred (LOL) for your comments. Yes Fred I have almost put the 14" back on the mount a number of times; but with 2 comets comming into view I cannot do it just yet. I think the "comet virus" has struck me down.

All the best.

Great shot. It is astonishing how many stars are up there that we cant see when outside on a dark night.
