Echoes from the meteor shower of the Perseids! (HD)

On the Blog of the site : http://jdc-meteorite.e-monsite.com/b...perseides.html

The radar of the U.S. Air Force Space Surveillance recorded the echoes from the meteor shower of the Perseids passing this device:

You will hear a type of "clash" with the mesosphere, then a few seconds of "drag" during which the meteor disintegrates.

Matt, I haven't listened to it but suspect you're correct - if you listen, via radio, to meteors coming, you hear a doeppler-like effect - precisely as you describe it, a deep shwoop
