Well this is not up to the standard of some of the bird shots here, but I was pretty chuffed to get this one!

That's a good enough shot. You've got the lighting pretty good considering that you have sky behind him.

The SWMBO loves her kookaburras, so when we spotted some while walking along the Glenelg at Harrow on Easter Sunday, I just had to try for a shot. With only a stock 55-250mm zoom I had to do some serious stalking to get close enough though!

Thanks Bo, Liz and Greg. The angles didn't quite work out as his (her?) beak is superimposed on the trunk of the tree, and the lower park of the beak is a similar colour. Other than that I am pretty happy with it.
