I just got a copy of the latest AS&T. Had a quick flip-through. Lots of interesting looking stuff in this issue. Looks like maybe the best so far.. Tour of eta carinae region!

Now I can put some catalogue numbers to those impressive clusters I've been staring at. New to this issue is a DIY scope mods article. (+ Andrews launching a full frontal assault on the competition with their first ad in AS&T)
There's an awesome pic in the readers' photos of the Rosette nebula composed from 4 hours worth of filtered exposures. There is also a cute little Jupiter, taken with a single 1/15 second shot. (I tried to get one like that with my newly acquired 2nd hand digital camera but I couldn't see anything.) I would encourage everyone here who dabbled in astrophotography to submit their images to one of the local mags. You too Ken!

It's nice to see people's efforts recognised with their work in print.
