The dreaded no response 17 error

Nearly 7 years since I bought my CG5, and it has served me well by and large, though I use it mainly for solar observing ever since I got an EQ6

Anyway today the dreaded no response 17 error showed up

I have checked it's not my power supply...
I have cleaned he contacts..as well as I could.....
Nada. Still the same problem.

Has anyone had this problem and other than shipping it back to celestron, is there anything else I can try?

I have emailed celestron support in the US but from past experience they can take a fairly long time to respond

Thanks in advance

Narayan
