I think I'm in love

Santa was a bit later this year but when he came be bought a nice shiny Canon 400mm f5.6L - he knew how keen I am to photograph birds. After I got used to the weight I found it a great lens to use. As I was told, the autofocus is like lightening and the image quality is superb. I don't think I'm yet getting the best out of the lens and the camera is 'only' a 400D (hint hint Santa ). These were taken on my recent holiday. They have been cropped but are otherwise unprocessed. Thanks for looking.

1) Apostle Bird (Weddin Mts NP)
2) Mallee Ringneck (Cocoparra NP)
3) Crimson Rosella yellow morph (Hattah-Kulkyne NP)
4) Inland Thornbill (HKNP)
5) Black Duck (HKNP)
6) Whistling Kite (HKNP)
7) White-faced Heron (HKNP)

They are a great lens David. I like the duck and heron in particular. Be warned, photographing birds can be nearly as addictive as astronomy!

Looking forward to more.
