Crux from SPSP

This is the first in a series of images I took on Saturday night at the SPSP.
The Crux - Southern Cross region.
Combination of six 90 Sec (9 min total) RAW images at 800 ISO, 48mm f/2.8 with the Canon 20Da piggybacked on a tracking Orion Skyview Pro mount.
Combined in Registar and final processing in Photoshop and NEAT image.

Comments and suggestions welcome.
Thank you for viewing.

Hi Andrew,

Nice shot. Star colours look good and your processing has brought out the Coal Sack and some other dark nebula very well.

That lens seems to be OK at that image scale. How is it at full resolution? Much chromatic aberation or coma?

Cheers

Thanks for all your nice comments everyone.
I think I was a little heavy handed with NEAT image especially since I didn't take any flats,
I know, I know Itchy, one day I'll start.

The lens Tony (Itchy) is quite good but not perfect so I used a Lumicon Minus Violet filter to cut the CA back.
I've attached a closeup of the hi-res version so you can have a look. Also Robby here's the LINK to my hi-res version approx 2MB (I don't have more storage to put up the full TIFF).

Also a big thank you to Houghy who assited me in getting fairly close to polar alignment, it's a basic mount so the trails are evident.

Striker the images are going to come using the TAK, I have to learn to crawl before I walk and finally run, bear with me dude,
Don't let my daughter see you asking for the TAK she'll freak....

I've also attached a slightly different version in which I adjusted the colours a bit more.

Hope you enjoy.

Cheers.
