Did anyone notice it was clear last night?

Got some reasonable data.

The processing is a little different..which I make no apologies for, as despite the area being swamped the dim glow of hydrogen-alpha light (i.e. red), there appeared to be subtle variations in foreground dust which dimed the h-beta within the nebula and some of the blue background stars...

It was beautifully clear last night.
I like the colour balance, the bluish areas look good with subtle changes in colour across the nebula. That planetary neb looks great too!

Actually I rather like the look. I like the looking though a veil look. I would probably increase the contrast if I was processing it, but overall I like the image. Colours look good too.

I'ts weird.... on my i-pad the look is indeed quite veiled, yet on my (calibrated) 24" LCD there is good contrast.

Appreciate the feedback Paul..as I suspect (accounting for different monitors) the mix is about right... or at least as intended

Nice poltry, perhaps a longer exposure on RGB data would improve it a bit but already an excellent rendition..

Thanks Marco ....Nothing to envy as the light pollution from my backyard is awful. Though I must admit the RHA does not seem suffer from light pollution induced gradients much at all.

Now... a robotic dark site at Coona....*that* would be cool

Again, wonderful stars. This setup renders the stars so well and you have processed them wonderfully.

The rest of colours are a bit fluro for you eh? Your images are usually more subtle (in a positive way). I like the way you've captured the subtlety of the area where it can easily be another solid red Ha neb image. Very colourful but (to me at least, of course colour is somewhat subjective) to me a tad too coloured.

Thanks Greg...you may be right about the saturation.... I've backed it off just a tad. I think it looks a little less Las-Vegas now

Very nice. This area has a fabulous semi translucent quality that is nicely represented there. Colourful yet not as solid as say Eta C.

Great rendition. I also like the stars very much and all the nuances in the reds from deep brown to fluo pink. Very cool colour range. Details are the icing on the cake.

Ah! SBIG's autoguide software code is one of their prized assets. I believe it to be the best available, and gives more consistent results that, well, anything elese.... I'll only use MaxIm etc. if I have some automated run happening.

I believe the planetary is ESO 129-29, Henize 2-72 plus a few other names.
