A week on South Stradbroke Island

Hey there fellow Star Gazers,
I am spending the week before Easter camping on South Stradbroke Island from next Saturday. Six of us are going.
We will be staying at "The Bedrooms" campsite on the North end of the Island.
The night sky should be great, but I can't take the LX200 for weight reasons.
The boat will be full of water, food, camping and fishing gear.
I will take the Bino's though, maybe I can even sneak the 4.5" Tasco on without anyone noticing.
I don't know how much light there will be from the Gold Coast though.

If it turns out to be a good spot, I will post a message for you.

The week after Easter will be spent travelling in outback Queensland, stopping at different small towns each night.
We will be playing music in the pubs we come across and I will set up the LX200 and show the Universe to all who are interested.

What a great 2 weeks we are going to have.
I wish you could all be there.

Mike
