Trojan causes Internet blackout for some

Hi,

Not sure if this is scareware, but the link to a .gov.au check works OK.

Cheers

Its not that Bart , its just that the service up here is so slow at times and I dont want to do any thing that might upset the apple cart ,,, so to speak . ,, If something did happen ( like getting Trojan'd out ) I probabbly would not even notice , thinking its just telstra , giving their top knotch service to us up here again .

Just connected to this link: http://www.dns-ok.gov.au/

It says I do not appear to be affected by the dns changer trojan. Thank goodness for that.

I can quote you some of the notifications from SANS, but google for "SANS DNS changer" will get you the links.

Following the FBI's request being approved ISC have been given another 120 day extension to run ghost DNS servers to substitute correct replies.

SANS Newsbites is always an interesting read.

@RISK: The Consensus Security Alert is a bit more techie but gives you a "heads up" on new threats and patches.

Ouch! I haven't tried before but might suit the non-gurus out there.
