Mars 30th March

Seeing was just ok but I still had to capture @ F22 so this is a 1.6X resize. Tried a new codec with the camera too. Works very nicely as long as you have an uncluttered & PLENTY of space on the HD. The other 20 odd AVI's were lost in a big external HD crash during transfer, bummer.

Yeah Trevor. The HD crash wiped out the 3 RGB runs on Mars..

You have been doing your homework Dave it seems. Nearly right; RGB24 + Y800 with onboard debayering off, so AS!2 did the debayering. Probably the best codec to use however you'll need a fast grunty machine. In my case I don't think it's wise because I get a lot of dropped frames & the livefeed during capture is very choppy. Aligning/stacking software ends up chucking a massive tanty..

No big deal Rob. Got more data than I can be bothered dealing with right now anyway. Thanks.

Thanks Ray.
