Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8 (canon mount)

Since getting the 5D Mk II, i'm rejigging my lens collection and need to raise some funds for the replacement lenses.

This lens has been an excellent performer on my crop cameras. I've had it since the 350D, onto the 20D and then the 40D. It was the most used lens on my cameras until I got the 24-105mm L, but even after getting that lens, I used the 17-70 when I needed wider than 24mm (which was often).

Nice and fast at f/2.8, and is great at the macro end when zoomed to 70mm.

Specs:

I've used this lens for some of my best and favourite terrestrial and astrophotography, including APOD's and the Ken Duncan awards.

When I bought my Canon 60D with a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 -VC I wasn’t impressed with the results so I exchanged it for this Sigma lens and I’m extremely happy with the image quality. This lens is a great buy. I’d recommend it to anyone.

Cheers Mark
